TikTok Tests AI Song Feature: Creating Songs Based on User Prompts

 TikTok is currently testing a new feature named "AI Song," utilizing artificial intelligence to generate songs based on user-entered prompts, as confirmed by the company to TechCrunch. Currently, the feature is in the experimental phase and available to a limited number of users, aiming to provide a fun experience rather than creating the next viral hit.

TechCrunch reports that AI Song relies on Bloom, a large language model, to craft lyrics based on text prompts. These lyrics are then matched with music from a pre-saved catalog established within TikTok.

A TikTok user, Jonah Manzano, shared a walkthrough of the feature, explaining its functionality. Users begin by entering a prompt to generate a song, with suggested prompts like "Going to concerts," "A new beginning," and "Cuddling with pets." Alternatively, users can input their own prompts. After entering a prompt, the app initiates the song generation process.

Within a few seconds, the app produces lyrics related to the entered prompt and pairs them with music. Users can alter the song's vibe by selecting between "pop," "EDM," and "Hip-hop." The final outcome is a unique song with lyrics derived from the initial text prompt.
