Apple Vision Pro is set to grace the faces of its inaugural buyers starting February 2, and as live pre-orders kick off, Apple has unveiled the final details on Vision Pro's battery life and other specifications. So, how long can you enjoy the headset before it needs a recharge? Here are all the crucial details.
The standalone Vision Pro battery, included with the device, doesn't boast an extended lifespan before requiring a recharge. However, the good news is that you can continue using the headset while the battery is being replenished. Interestingly, third-party manufacturers like Belkin are gearing up to introduce accessories such as Vision Pro battery clips, although Apple itself does not provide or sell any battery clip options.
Here's a breakdown of the Vision Pro battery life:
- Up to 2 hours of general use
- Up to 2.5 hours of video playback
- The device can be used while charging the battery using the included 5-foot (1.5m) USB-C cable
- A 30W USB-C power adapter is also included in the package
If you anticipate using Vision Pro for more than 2 hours consecutively, investing in a 10-foot USB-C cable might be a wise choice, as the included 5-foot cable lacks flexibility. This alternative proves to be a more budget-friendly option compared to purchasing an additional battery, priced at $200.
In terms of operating temperature, Apple specifies that Vision Pro functions optimally within the range of 32 to 86 degrees Fahrenheit (0 to 32 Celsius).
